WILBERFORCE — WHIO All Media Journalist (AMJ) Malik Perkins will address graduates of Central State University as Commencement Speaker May 5.

Born and raised in the Dayton area, Perkins graduated from CSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication with a focus in Broadcast Media.

As a student, Perkins served as president of the National Association of Black Journalists college chapter, hosted the radio program "Jazz at Sundown" on Jazzy 88.9 WCSU and played the trumpet in the Invincible Marching Marauders.
CSU's graduating class of 2018 consists of about 200 students from 15 states, with 31 percent graduating with honors.
The commencement ceremony takes place Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Dayton Convention Center.
Tickets are required for the general public.
