When, where to spot Venus in night sky this week

This browser does not support the video element.

Look for Venus in the sky the next few evenings.

About an hour after the sun sets at 8:45 p.m., Venus will be visible near the very thin crescent moon.

The moon will be below Venus May 16. On May 17, the moon will be right next to Venus, and on May 18, the moon will be above the planet.

Venus will be very bright in the evening sky and it won't twinkle like a star. Send or share pictures using the hashtag #SkyWitness7
