DAYTON — The Miami Valley has certainly seen some very warm days so far this season.
According to the National Weather Service, based on the 30-year climatological period (1981-2010), there is an average of 10 to 20 days each year where the temperature reaches 90 degrees or higher in Cincinnati, 18 days in Columbus, and 14 days for Dayton.

So far in the month of June, Dayton has seen two 90+ degree days. The first was June 2 when the temperature was 91 degrees. The second was June 3 when the temperature reached 92 degrees.
On average, Dayton typically records its first 90-degree day between June 8th and 14th. So far, 2023 is ahead of schedule.
Temperatures are increasing toward the end of the week and inching closer to 90 degrees by Friday.
