West Carrollton — West Carrollton City Council is mourning the loss of former city manager Tracy Williams, who died on Feb. 16.
Williams served the city for 30 years as city manager from 1977 until 2007.
Williams also served in the U.S. Army from 1969 until 1971 after graduating from Ball State University. Williams earned his master’s degree from Brigham Young University.

He was recognized for excellence in city management by the Dayton Area Managers Association the Ohio City Management Association and the International City/County Management Association, according to a release.
Before and after his retirement Williams was involved in the community by volunteering, the city said in a release.
“He was a dedicated and compassionate leader who worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life in West Carrollton and the whole Miami Valley region,” West Carrollton Mayor Jeff Sanner said in a release.
