A vehicle went into a ditch after going off the side of the southbound lanes of the highway in the first crash.

That driver apparently was not paying attention, troopers said, and was cited for assured clear distance.
Then, the driver of a Pontiac Grand Prix slammed into the back of a Honda Odyssey that slowed for traffic due to the backup from the first crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
There were no injuries in the crashes.
