CINCINNATI — An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper and a Cincinnati police officer narrowly escaped serious injuries after a driver slammed into both cruisers at a high rate of speed on I-75.

Both the trooper and officer were stopped in a construction zone on the side of the highway to help a driver whose vehicle had become disabled.
The state trooper and police officer, who were both out of their cars, vaulted over a nearby concrete barrier just in time to avoid being struck.
Two cars hit each other in a separate crash before the vehicle collided with the cruisers.
Thankfully the pair were only struck by debris, with the trooper being briefly hospitalized, according to our Cincinnati media partners WCPO-TV.
The wreck remained under investigation, but authorities did not believe the driver was impaired and had not filed charges.
