Truck belonging to missing officer's son located

The vehicle belonging to the son of a Dayton police officer who is missing was located in Beavercreek, according to information from police.

Fliers seeking information about Christopher Mollohan, 36, began appearing this week on Instagram. The public is being asked to help locate him.

While Mollohan's truck was located in Beavercreek, Dayton police are handling the investigation.

Mollohan is the son of Officer Jim Mollohan, Maj. Brian Johns, East Patrol Operations Division commander, said Friday afternoon.

Detectives are assisting Officer Mollohan in trying to locate his son, Johns said.

Christopher Mollohan was last seen July 2 in the area of the Fifth Third Gateway Park bike path entrance in Beavercreek, Johns said.

The park k is located at the junction of Dayton-Xenia Road and the Creekside Trail bike path, in Beavercreek.

He was due to return to work this week after being on vacation, but has not returned to that job. He was supposed to vacation in Georgia, but called his grandparents there to say he wouldn't be able to make it, Johns said.

No one has heard from Christopher Mollohan since, the major said.

He is 6-feet tall, about 150 pounds and has blue eyes and red hair, according to the missing person flier.

He was last seen wearing a green shirt and brown shorts, possibly carrying a green backpack, according to the flier.
