Upon arrival, it was determined a Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Patricia A. Randall, 78, of Waynesfield, Ohio, was driving southbound on Campbell Rd. when she travelled off the right edge of the road for an unknown reason.
Randall overcorrected, lost control and eventually struck a utility pole. The vehicle overturned and came to a rest upside down.
Randall was transported from the scene by Indian Lake EMS and was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital for treatment.
OSP was notified by the Allen County Coroner’s Office that Randall passed away from her injuries after arriving at the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
