Trooper finds an estimated $100K in cocaine in I-70 traffic stop; 2 jailed

Two Kansas City, Mo., men are in an Indiana jail on felony drug charges after a traffic stop and search on I-70 East turned up at least a kilo of cocaine authorities said has an estimated street value of $100,000.

Alberto Castro Analco, 27, and Ivan Pedro Mijares Roldan, 30, remain in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday night on the following charges:

  • Dealing in cocaine or a narcotic
  • Possession of cocaine or a narcotic

According to a statement from the Indiana State Police - Putnamville District in Greencastle, the trooper saw an improperly displayed license tag on a black Chevy Cruze about 7:45 Thursday morning.

During the traffic stop, the trooper detected "several indicators of possible criminal activity," according to the ISP statement.

The trooper asked for K-9 assistance and a "free-air sniff resulted in a positive indication" of drugs in the rear passenger side of the vehicle.

The subsequent search turned up one package of suspected cocaine, estimated to be 2.2 pounds.
