DAYTON — The Dayton Metro Library (DML) is set to celebrate pride this month with its Teen Pride Prom.
From 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, LGBTQIA2S+ high schoolers and allies are invited to attend a free event at the Main Library, according to a release.

The event will have dancing, crafts, food, and other activities Prom-goers can take part in.
DML’s community partners will also be at the prom and will have resources available for members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Partners that made the event possible include Q+ Health Alliance, Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region, The Rubi Girls, and PFLAG Dayton.
According to a spokesperson for the event, attendees are encouraged to dress to express their identity.
If needed, there will be changing areas available at 5:00 p.m.
Teens who wish to attend must be in grades 9-12 and have a filled-out permission slip.
