NEW CARLISLE — Two students in possession of a loaded gun near school property prompted a lockdown Wednesday afternoon.
Bus drivers discovered the two students walking down the road during school hours and alerted school personnel, according to a news release. Deputies responded, and the students were questioned and searched, and were found to be in possession of the loaded gun.

Neither juvenile was in attendance at school today.
Both juveniles were arrested and taken to juvenile detention on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, discharging a firearm and one count of menacing.
Tecumseh students were reported safe during the lock down.
