Suspected intoxicated driver hits sheriff’s office cruiser

CENTERVILLE — A Beavercreek woman is facing charges after police said she struck a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office cruiser while intoxicated on West Franklin Street Monday.

Olivia Bobbio, 25, is charged with OVI and assured clear distance after the crash, which happened around 2:15 a.m., according to court records and a crash report.

According to the report, Bobbio’s alcohol level tested more than twice the legal limit.

Bobbio struck the cruiser while a deputy was checking on a possible disabled vehicle in the road, the crash report said. The crash was captured on cruiser camera and Bobbio’s Fiat 500 can be seen continuing past the deputy’s cruiser, followed by a Centerville police officer.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Bobbio is due in Kettering Municipal Court for arraignment Friday.
