The Upper Valley Mall Cinema 5's movie theater has closed, showing its last movie Monday night.

Less than a dozen employees will lose their jobs from the theater closing, said Philip Chakeres, president and chief executive officer of Chakeres Theatres.

“There’s a loss of foot traffic and that’s an impact not just on us, but every business that’s out at the mall,” Chakeres said.
