The Lewis A. Jackson Regional Airport in Greene County is temporarily closed for an expansion project.
Crews are making renovations to the runway, repairing the taxi-way, and building new parking and holding ramps.
The airport shut down on May 1st and airport manager Dave Kushner hopes to have the work completed in about one month.
“We’re hoping to improve our customer service and allow more aircraft such as small corporate jets to come in and land,” Kushner said.
