Name of man hit, killed on U.S. 35 released

RIVERSIDE — UPDATE @ 11:24 a.m.:

A Xenia man was hit and killed on U.S. 35 around 5:50 a.m.

Timothy R. Wood, 33, was killed during the crash near the U.S. 35 and Woodman Drive exit.

Lanes were shut down at Smithville Road around 5:50 a.m. after a person was reportedly struck by a vehicle.

UPDATE @ 9:53 a.m.: U.S. 35 eastbound lanes are reopened after a fatal pedestrian strike at Woodman Drive Friday morning.

UPDATE @ 7:38 a.m.: One is dead in a pedestrian strike at U.S. 35 and Woodman Drive, according to the Montgomery County Coroner's office.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

UPDATE @ 6:15 a.m: The Montgomery County Coroner's Office confirm they are responding to the pedestrian strike on U.S. 35 and Woodman Drive.

Eastbound lanes on U.S. 35 are  currently shut down at Smithville Road for a reported pedestrian strike that occurred Friday morning.

The incident was dispatched at U.S. 35 and Woodman Drive after a person was reportedly struck by a vehicle, per initial reports.
