LOGAN COUNTY — A teenager sustained minor injuries following a horse-drawn buggy collision in Pleasant Township Tuesday.

Logan County deputies say that a Chevrolet Impala failed to maintain a clear distance from behind the buggy and struck the carriage on County Line Road. The collision caused the buggy roll over into the nearby ditch.
The buggy’s driver, a 17-year-old Shelby County resident, did not require further medical attention.
Logan County deputies cited the driver of the Impala, 55-year-old John Scholz, of Quincy with failure to assure clear distance ahead. Scholz did not sustain any injuries during the accident.
