UPDATE @ 5:49p.m.: At least one person has been taken to a hospital by CareFlight from the two-vehicle accident on East Leffel Lane, near Clark State Community College.
The condition of the injured party, whose injuries are said to be serious, is not known.

We have a crew headed to a reported vehicle accident in Springfield involving an SUV and a semitrailer.
The accident, in the 500 block of E. Leffel Lane, was dispatched just before 5 p.m. CareFlight has been dispatched as well.
Traffic in the area is being re-routed. We will update this developing report.
