CHAMPAIGN COUNTY — UPDATE @ 6:30 p.m.
A semi driver suffered minor injuries in a four-vehicle crash this afternoon on U.S. 68.
The semi was headed north on U.S. 68 when a car turned left in front of it. The semi clipped the car and went off the roadway, and then that car’s driver sped from the scene, according to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.
The semi driver was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries, and no one else was hurt.
A sport-utility vehicle and car were traveling south behind the at-fault car, and they were involved in a rear-end collision, deputies said.

U.S. 68 is closed in both directions between Dallas Road and Hickory Grove Road.

Three vehicles and a semi-tractor trailer were involved in a crash in the 4000 block of U.S. 68 near Urbana, according to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash was reported around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.
