DAYTON — Today the DeWeese-Ridgecrest neighborhood will have a ribbon-cutting after tornadoes ravaged their park back in 2019.
The celebration will start at 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Ridgecrest Park Playground, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:00 p.m.

Neighbors and their families are invited to visit the restored park to enjoy the new improvements.
According to a release, the DeWeese-Ridgecrest Youth Ambassadors (DRYA) have been working for years to make this a reality and are extremely proud of the improvements made at the park.
The release continued and stated families are free to wear any Halloween costumes to the event. Trick-or-treating will follow at 6 p.m.
