Crews were first called to the facility at 805 Liberty Lane in West Carrollton just before 10:30 a.m. on reports of a chemical spill inside a building.

Gallons of nitrous acid had a chemical reaction inside a container and dispersed fumes inside the building, a West Carrollton police spokesperson told News Center 7. The building was evacuated and no injuries or illnesses were reported.

West Carrollton police said in addition to the NuVasive building, a neighboring business and some nearby homes have been evacuated as a precaution. Police added it appears the chemical reaction was contained to only the NuVasive building.
