UPDATE @ 1:30 a.m: The driver of a pick-up truck involved in a fatal crash that occurred on Gerlaugh Road and State Route 235 Tuesday afternoon has been identified.

Benjamin S. Parsons, 45, of Dayton was pronounced dead shortly after arriving to Miami Valley Hospital by Careflight, according to a release by the Ohio Highway State Patrol.
At approximately 3:28 p.m., a Dodge Ram pick-up truck driven by Parsons was traveling eastbound on Gerlaugh Road. He then drove off the right side of the roadway and overturned several time, causing him to be ejected from the vehicle.
Parsons was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with critical injuries.
The crash closed Gerlaugh Road for approximately one hour.
OHSP, Springfield Post handled the incident with assistance from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Bethel Twp. fire and EMS.

INITIAL REPORT
One person has reportedly been ejected from a vehicle following a crash on Gerlaugh Road in Bethel Twp., Clark County Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of Gerlaugh Road and Ohio 235 around 3:35 p.m. after the crash was reported.
Initial reports indicate one driver was ejected from their vehicle but their condition wasn’t immediately known. A medical helicopter has reportedly been requested to the scene, according to emergency scanner traffic.
