Young’s Jersey Dairy worker thrown from wagon spooked horse, owner says

A woman was thrown from a wagon early this evening when a horse got spooked, according to an owner of Young’s Jersey Dairy.

The wagon was not moving at the time of the accident, the owner said. The woman was an employee and was flown to Miami Valley Hospital with unknown injuries.

Activities went on as scheduled at the dairy’s popular 41st annual Fall Farm Pumpkin Festival today and Sunday at the farm, 6880 Springfield-Xenia Road near Yellow Springs.

A woman was injured in a wagon accident early this evening at Young’s Jersey Dairy.The incident was reported around 5 p.m., during the farm’s 41st annual Fall Farm Pumpkin Festival.

A CareFlight medical helicopter was called to the scene.
