DAYTON — A gun was found in the bushes at a Dayton park Sunday morning during a disc golf tournament, according to a police report.
Officers responded to the maintenance building at Belmont Park, 2366 Glenarm Ave., around 10:55 a.m.

The host of the tournament advised police that the gun was found in the bushes near Highridge Avenue.
However, he moved the gun to the maintenance building because of the number of people and kids at the park, according to the report.
The gun, a 9mm Hi Point, was dirty and covered in rust, leaves and spider webs, read the report.

A round was not in the chamber and a magazine was not inside the magazine well, according to the report.
The firearm was not reported as stolen.
