Multiple crashes reported as refreeze causes slick conditions

@8:11 a.m.: At Rt. 42 south of Darnell Road in Greene County, there is a crash involving an 18-wheeler and several other vehicles.

@8:01 a.m.: On Route 49 at Winkler Road in Mercer County, there is an overturned vehicle. No injuries have been reported.

@7:55 a.m.: On Route 4 at Bath Road, multiple crashes have been reported, including one that may be a rollover.

@7:43 a.m.: On Riverside Drive at Old Riverside in Harrison Twp., there is a crash with injuries reported.

@7:36 a.m.: In the 700 block of Richmond, a car has reportedly crashed into a house.

@7:33 a.m.: On eastbound I-70 east of Route 4 in Clark County, two crashes have been reported. The crashes are possible slide-offs and it's unknown if anyone was injured.

@7:27 a.m.: On Philadelphia at Siebenthaler, two vehicles have crashed and a pole is blocking the intersection.

@7:26 a.m.: On northbound I-675 at Indian Ripple, a crash has been reported.

@7:05 a.m.: On Austin Boulevard at I-75, there is a crash.

@7 a.m.: On northbound I-675 at mile marker 9 in Greene County, there is a car on its side.

@6:59 a.m.: On eastbound I-70 in the area of Main Street in Englewood, there is at least one crash.

@6:54 a.m.: On southbound I-675 at Grange Hall road, seven to eight cars are involved in a crash.

@6:45 a.m.: On Interstate 70 at U.S. 35 in Preble County, there is a jackknifed semi.

@6:42 a.m.: On I-70 westbound at Airport Access, a crash has been reported. Crews are already on the scene of a crash in the eastbound lanes.

@6:39 a.m.: Butler County dispatch is reporting crashes in the 1500 block of Millville Avenue, on Hamilton Mason Road east of Les Wes Road  and in the 5100 block of Thomas Road.

@6:35 a.m.: On southbound and northbound I-675 right before the exit to Wilmington Pike, multiple cars have slid off the road.

@6:32 a.m.: On eastbound I-70 at Airport Access, the right lane is blocked for a crash.

@6:24 a.m.: On I-70 eastbound east of Route 72, a car slid off the highway.

@6:21 a.m.: On northbound I-75 at Main Street in Dayton, a car crashed into the barrier.

@6:15 a.m.: On eastbound U.S. 35 between Woodman and I-675 in Riverside, two cars had crashed into the ditch.

@6:15 a.m.: On Watervilet Avenue at Smithville Road in Dayton, no injuries were reported in a crash.

@6:10 a.m.: On I-675 northbound near Far Hills, a second crash has been reported.

@6:09 a.m.: On eastbound I-70 near Route 41 in Clark County, a four-car crash was reported.

@6:07 a.m.: On I-675 north south of Indian Ripple in Washington Twp., a crash was reported.

@6:04 a.m.: On I-675 north near Far Hills, a car has crashed into the wall.

@6:05 a.m.: On Franklin Trenton Road before the railroad crossing in Franklin, a car is on its side.

@6:03 a.m.: On Dixie at Lightner in Huber Heights, a SUV is on its side. All occupants are out of the vehicle.

@5:47 a.m.: On I-675 north of Indian Ripple Road in Beavercreek, a car is in the median.

@5:43 a.m.: Fairborn police are reporting I-675 is "very slick."

@5:40 a.m.: On Route 844 near Wright State Road, there is a crash reported near the base. Our crew is on scene and reported the roadway is extremely slick.

@5:33 a.m.: On Spring Valley Paintersville at Anderson Road in Greene County, a car crashed and was reported to be on its side in a wooded area.

@5:25 a.m.: On westbound U.S. 35 at I-675 in Beavercreek, a crash was reported.

@5:25 a.m.: On U.S. 49 at Hoover in Trotwood, a crash has been reported.

@ 5:20 a.m. On the eastbound U.S. 35 exit ramp to Steve Whalen Boulevard in Dayton, police and medics were dispatched to a crash reported at the base of the exit ramp. The driver on Steve Whalen told authorities he had a green light and was hit by a car comping off the ramp. Roads are slick in the area.

@ 5:15 a.m. Slick roads and refreeze have been reported across the region this morning and are anticipated to impact the morning commute, especially during the peak drive times.

Ongoing Construction & Other Closures

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

• I-75 south Ramp to US 35 west, Ramp closure January 9th – September 30th. The official detour is: I-75 south to the Edwin C. Moses turn around lane to I-75 north to US 35 west
• SR 49 south between Brookville-Salem Road and Pleasant Plain Road, Lane closures November 28th through February 20th. One southbound lane will remain open at all times.
• The Webster Street bridge is closed as it is rebuilt. A detour will take motorists to Keowee Street to Monument Avenue. The project is scheduled to be completed in November of 2017
• Vista View Drive between Second Street and Third Street, road closed through September of 2017. Detour posted.

MIAMI COUNTY

• I-75 between CR 25A (Piqua) and US 36, Lane width restrictions September 12th – June 15th of 2017. Lanes are restricted to 12 feet. Two lanes will remain open in each direction.
• Statler Road between Cromes Drive and Free Road, road closure September 13th – June 15th, 2017. The official detour is: Cromes Drive/Looney Road to US 36 to Troy-Sidney Road to Statler Road.
