Procession route announced for WWII Veteran Jim ‘Pee Wee’ Martin

SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP — The procession route has been announced from Sugarcreek Township to the gravesite in Dayton for World War II Veteran Jim, “Pee Wee,” Martin, according to a Sugarcreek Township news release

The procession will depart from the Sugarcreek Township Administration building on Ferry Road this morning at 9:00 a.m.

It will travel north on Waynesville Road to west on State Route 725 to north on Wilmington Pike, then onto Northbound Interstate 675 to Westbound U.S. 35, exiting at Liscum Drive to W. Third Street.

The procession will include Sugarcreek Township patrol units, the Patriot Guard Riders, Greene County Sheriff and city of Dayton motor units, military vehicles and family and friends of Mr. Martin along with dignitaries and general public, the release said.

Traffic may be impacted along the procession route.

Patience is appreciated as the community honors local hero, Jim, “Pee Wee,” Martin.
