DAYTON — A pregnant woman was struck by a vehicle in the area of Brown and Wyoming streets this afternoon, according to initial emergency dispatch reports.

The crash was reported around noon.

Jackson said several medical professionals were in the area and ran to help the woman before police and medics arrived.

Witnesses said the woman and her son were crossing in a crosswalk when a white vehicle struck them, sending them to the pavement.

“They were up in the air,” said Gary Jackson, a witness who was in the area. “The woman mentioned she was nine months pregnant, so I called 911.”

Police were unable to release the condition of the woman and her son, however we’re working to gather those details.
