No one taken to hospital after truck strikes utility pole in Dayton

UPDATE @ 12:05 a.m. (Feb. 10):

No one was taken to the hospital after a truck struck a utility pole Saturday around 8 p.m. on North Main Street near West Hillcrest Avenue, according to Sgt. Clingner with the Dayton Police Department.

Sgt. Clingner said the accident was reported as an entrapment crash, but no one was trapped.

One lane was closed between West Hillcrest Avenue and Cliff Street for about an hour.

It’s unknown how many people were in the truck or their injuries.

FIRST REPORT:

A truck flipped over after hitting a pole on N. Main Street near W. Hillcrest Avenue, according to Montgomery County Regional dispatch.

It’s unknown how many people were in the truck or their injuries at this time.

According to initial reports, possible entrapment was reported.

Medics and DP&L are currently on scene of the crash that has a portion of N. Main Street shut down.
