DAYTON — UPDATE @ 12:50 p.m. (Dec. 14):
Dayton police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the middle of Leo Street Friday night as a homicide, according to a police incident report.
Austin Newell was identified by Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger Monday as the victim killed in the incident. His official cause and manner of death have not been ruled and remain under investigation.
Dayton police list the investigation as a homicide, but additional details were not released.

FIRST REPORT (Dec. 12):
Dayton police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the middle of a road Friday night.
Crews were called to the area of Leo Street near Webster Street around 11:20 p.m. and found the person dead.
Police did not release details on the man’s suspected cause of death. His identity has also not been released pending notification of family and further investigation by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
