DAYTON — UPDATE @ 3:10 p.m. (Dec. 28):
Dayton police are asking for the public’s help to locate a vehicle that is suspected in a shooting on I-75 near U.S. 35 Sunday morning.
A police spokesperson tweeted a photo of the dark-colored vehicle that was last seen traveling north on I-75 after the shooting around 10 a.m.
The victim, who was not identified, suffered non-life threatening injuries in the shooting, police said.
Investigators added the shooting does not appear to be a random act, but additional details on the circumstances were not released.

FIRST REPORT (Dec. 27):
Police are investigating an incident that left a man injured on Interstate 75 northbound near U.S. 35 Sunday morning.
The call for an injured male came in at 10:12 a.m. Dispatchers confirmed that the male was up and walking around on the highway.
Forensics units arrived to the scene to assist with the investigation.
Initial scanner traffic reports indicated that a weapon may have been shot in the area prior to the report of the injured male. However, the male’s injuries have not been explained in detail and he was up and walking after the incident.
A vehicle believed to be involved in the incident has been towed from the scene near I-75 and Second Street.
