Man shot, killed in Trotwood Monday identified; Police seek person of interest

TROTWOOD — A man is dead after a shooting in Trotwood Monday.

According to Trotwood police, officers were dispatched to the area of N. Sherry Drive near Elmore Street in reference to a person shot around 3:19 p.m. on Monday.

Bobby Daniels, 40, of Trotwood, was identified as the victim Tuesday by the Montgomery County Coroners Office.

On arrival, a man was found on the ground near that area, police said. The man died from his injuries on scene.

Trotwood detectives responded to the scene to investigate, according to police.

Police said Monday night a person of interest has been identified. Trotwood Police say they are looking to speak with Anthony Smith, a 40 year old male, in connection with the shooting.
