Officers and fire crews were called to a report of a vehicle that crashed into the Advance Auto Parts location at 1246 Kauffman Avenue in Fairborn around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver, who was not identified, had made a purchase inside the store and was leaving when her flip flop got stuck under the gas pedal, investigators told News Center 7. This caused the car to accelerate and crashed into a large window of the building.

The driver and a dog in her car were not injured. No one inside the store was injured either, police said.

Building inspectors determined no damage was done to the structure itself and the damage was limited to the broken window.

The store plans on staying open today, police said.

Additional details were not released.
