DAYTON — Authorities are investigating after a car struck a house early Thursday morning on Hillcrest Avenue.

Initial reports indicate the crash occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 500 block of Hillcrest Avenue.
The homeowners were sleeping when the crash occurred. They were not injured.
Two people were transported to a local hospital.
Police said the crash likely was caused by the driver failing to control the vehicle.
The house sustained significant damage in the wreck. Damage estimates were not immediately available.
