Police were dispatched to the restaurant, in the 5500 block of Merily Way, on a report of a suspicious call, a police dispatcher tells us.

Police tell us they believe "a kid" placed the call. They have not apprehended anyone.

A manager at the McDonald's said the threat came in about 7:40 p.m. and he and his workers were just allowed back into the business about 9:15 p.m.

He said they'll have to prepare food from scratch, make up new orders and plans to reopen at 10 p.m. The drive-through, he said, is open all night.

We will update this report as developments warrant.
