Pet dog rescued from house fire in Huber Heights

Crews in Huber Heights put out a house fire this morning in the 6100 block of Tomberg Street.

No one was home when the fire erupted around 9:30 a.m., except for a small pet dog that firefighters rescued and comforted at the scene.

The back of the home was heavily damaged in the fire.

The cause is under investigation.
