Authorities are investigating the death of a man found on a downtown Dayton sidewalk as a suicide.
A body was covered in a white sheet on Pretzinger Drive, an alley that runs along the back of the county parking garage at Fifth Street and Main streets. Montgomery County sheriff deputies investigated the death along with Dayton police because the garage is county-owned.
Montgomery County Sheriff's Major Darryl Wilson said it appears that the individual jumped from the 9th story of the parking garage.
Deputies are conducting an investigation into the apparent suicide.
Fifth Street was closed while the incident was investigated.
