1 injured in early morning crash Friday

DAYTON — Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Dayton.

Around 6:20 a.m., officers and medics were dispatched to Mertland Avenue and Merrydale Street on reports of a two-vehicle crash.

A 58-year-old female was driving a gray Honda Accord that struck a Silver Kia Soul, which was driven by a 44-year-old female.

The driver of the Kia was transported to a local hospital, but it is not clear how severe her injuries are.

The driver of the Honda was cited for right-of-way rule through highways, stop signs, and yield signs.
