Occupants trapped in car after crashing into pole in Washington Twp.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — People had to be freed from a car after it crashed into a pole in Washington Township Monday.

Around 3:45 p.m. Washington Township deputies and medics were called to a crash with people reportedly trapped in the 10000 block of Clyo Road, according to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Firefighters had to cut the roof off the car to get the people inside the car out, according to dispatch notes.

An initial investigation found that the car had lost control and crashed into a pole.

A medical helicopter was requested to be on standby but was later canceled.

Deputies said the occupants were taken to an area hospital for evaluation, further information was not available.
