Storms that came through the area Saturday dropped large hail across northern parts of the Miami Valley, including one nearly the size of a tennis ball.
In Shelby County, hail from an inch to one and three-fourths inches were recorded by National Weather Service trained spotters in Anna and Botkins, and another trained spotter reported quarter-inch hail in Sidney. A photo was posted showing a disc-shaped hailstone the size of a tennis ball in Anna, according to the NWS.
Penny-size hail was spotted in Celina, Mercer County, and also in Logan County.
Storms on Sunday could bring more hail, according to Storm Center 7 Jamie Simpson.
