Existing rental unit owners have until Sept. 24, 2023 to apply for a license.
Owners would also have to provide contact information and a statement that the unit meets the safety code.
Rental owners will have 60 days to apply for a license and register online with the city’s planning and development department.
They will also have to pay a 3 percent hotel tax.
Those who violate the ordinance may face fines, and in severe cases, their license may be suspended or revoked.
