PREBLE COUNTY — UPDATE @ 4:20 a.m.: Power has been restored to hundreds of Dayton Power & Light customers in Preble County who experienced a power outage Tuesday morning.

At its’ peak, 898 people were without power at approximately 4 a.m, according to the online outage map. Affected areas were east of U.S. 127 near Castine and West Manchester.
We’re working to learn why the outages occurred and will continue to update this story with additional details.
The estimated restoration time was listed as 5 a.m., but power was restored to nearly all customers around 4:20 a.m.
Scattered showers and downpours moved through parts of the Miami Valley overnight, though it is unknown if this issue was weather-related.
