Jury deliberating murder trial for suspect accused of killing Dayton man in 2017

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 11:38 a.m. (April 12):

A jury is deliberating the murder trial of a man accused of killing a 21-year-old in 2017.

The jury received the case late Thursday and resumed deliberating this morning.

Lance Irvin is facing murder, felonious assault and tampering with evidence charges.

We will update this story once a verdict has been reached.

INITIAL REPORT:

The trial of a man accused of a 2017 fatal shooting is scheduled to begin this afternoon.

Lance Irvin, 36, is accused of killing Jesse Samuel Redavide, 21, during an argument on South Horton Street in Dayton in November 2017. Irvin, of Dayton, was indicted on murder and felonious assault charges, and one count of tampering with evidence.

He was arrested the day of the shooting, and since then has remained in the Montgomery County Jail on a $1 million bond.
