Police had responded to the area of Riley Boulevard and North Main Street around 7 p.m. after someone reported finding a man lying in the grass.

“Woolery was clearly under the influence of a unknown substance and alcohol,” Franklin police wrote in their report. “Woolery struggled with officers but was eventually detained.”

While the 23-year-old was being taken to the hospital, that was when police said he kicked the medic, according to the report.

Woolery is also charged with criminal damaging and resisting arrest.
