Miami Twp. OK's proton therapy deal

Miami Township has signed a new agreement for a multi-million dollar development of a proton therapy center for cancer treatment.

The development, in excess of $100 million, would bring many high-paying, technical jobs, according to the township.

Trustees this week approved the development agreement with Clivus Development, LLC.

The company seeks to develop a cancer treatment center using proton beam therapy technology.

The proposed site is at the intersection of Miamisburg-Springboro Pike and Wood Road. There is also the possibility of additional medical buildings at the same site, according to the township.
