The Miami County Fire Chiefs Association are keeping their promise made to a Miami County man who recently died.
Christian Cross, of Troy, had a tradition of single handily hanging dozens of American flags from the overpass bridges on I-75 through Miami County.

On Tuesday, they kept their promise and hung 60 flags on chain link fencing across 15 overpass bridges on I-75 to remember those killed 20 years ago during a terrorist attack.
Prior to his death, the Miami County Fire Chiefs Association made plans with Cross to continue his tradition.

The association said they will continue this tradition on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Veterans Day.
