One airlifted to local hospital after motorcycle accident in Clark County

MAD RIVER TWP., Clark County — UPDATE @ 6:40 a.m.: One person was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital after a crash involving a motorcycle occurred on U.S. 68 this morning.

The accident, involving a car and a motorcycle, was reported in the 5400 block of Springfield-Xenia Road (U.S. 68) around 5:30 a.m.,per initial reports.

The individual transported by CareFlight, whose name was not released, suffered injuries believed to be non-life threatening, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Springfield Post.

Two people went airborne, and the medical helicopter responded to the scene, according to scanner traffic.

Their condition is unknown at this time.

Springfield-Xenia Road remains open while crews handle the wreck.
