Man partially thrown from truck in crash on Michigan Street in Sidney

SIDNEY — A 23-year-old man was taken to the hospital after his truck crashed on Michigan Street in Sidney Tuesday morning.

Officers arrived to the 2600 block after receiving reports that a truck had flipped on its side near the Magic Tunnel Car Wash.

Once emergency crews arrived they found Brendon Anderson partially thrown from a white Chevrolet truck and trapped inside.

The truck was on its side against the sign pole for Warehouse Carpet, according to the Sidney Police Department.

Anderson was pulled from the truck and taken to the hospital by Sidney Fire and Rescue.

Preliminary investigation shows that alcohol does appear to be a factor in the crash, according to Sidney Police.

The details of the driver’s injuries are not available at this time and the crash is still under investigation.
