MADISON TWP., Butler County — A 59-year-old was identified as the man killed in a fire off Germantown Road this morning.
Steven C. Strain, 59, died of smoke inhalation from the fire in the 6500 block of Germantown Road around 1:15 a.m., the Butler County Coroner’s Office said.

According to a report from the Journal-News, the fire was reported around 8 p.m. at the Catalina Trailer Park and deputies found a mobile home engulfed in fire.
Deputies spoke with a man who told them he laid a cigar he was smoking down on a roll of toilet paper causing the fire, according to the report.
After firefighters put out the fire they found Strain in a hallway leading from the bedroom to the front door, the report read.
