SPRING VALLEY TWP., Greene County — A man found dead underneath a lawn mower on his Houston Road property has been identified as a 62-year-old man, according to the Greene County Coroner’s Office.

Joseph Noble, of Spring Valley Twp., was found partially submerged in the pond on his property after the mower he was using rolled, pinning him underneath.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the mower to roll over, but the fire department said the ground in the area of the crash was soggy from recent rains.

The coroner’s office is still working to learn exactly what Noble’s cause of death was.

Deputies and emergency responders went to Noble’s home in the 3500 block of Houston around 6:15 p.m., after his wife called 911 for help.
