Police and sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who tried to rob Dollar General, 8126 N. Main St., in Clayton.

He is said to have had a handgun when he walked in just before 8:30 p.m., according to police and fire Montgomery County Regional Dispatch communication.
The robber is believed to have headed south on foot and may have gotten into a small dark or black Chevrolet.
There are no reports of shots fired or injury.

The robber is believed to have been wearing a blue face covering, blue sweatshirt and striped sweatpants.
A K-9 unit has been dispatched.
