DAYTON — Green beer and green gear can only mean one thing— it’s St. Patrick’s Day in Dayton.
For nearly the last decade, twins Steven and Jeff Nagel throw on their St. Paddy’s chains and start celebrating early at the Dublin Pub.
“You can’t have a full St. Patrick’s day if you don’t have a shot of Jameson and a Guinness before 5 a.m.,” Steven Nagel said.

They both said you can’t find a better place to celebrate, and others agree.
“It’s something to look forward to that I enjoy,” Amanda Wilmoth told News Center 7.
Thousands look forward to it so much that it take months of preparation for the pub’s staff.

“Lots and lots of preparation. We start in December basically kind of organizing all of our vendors, all of our rentals, all of our licenses we need to make this happen,” said Anthony Good, Dublin Pub General Manager.
Good says this is by far their busiest day of the year.
They bring in more money on St. Patrick’s Day alone than they do any other month of the year.
“We’re all here to celebrate a good ole fashion Irish drinking holiday,” Good said.
By the time the day is all said and done, they expect to see any between 10 and 15 thousand people at the Dublin Pub.
